Subject: Bobolinks in 2 locations

Checked out Pickerel Creek at the observation deck today. A good mix of shorebirds here the best being several Stilt Sandpipers. On my way back to the parking lot I observed a recently fledged Bobolink starting to acquire adult male plumage, enough to I.D. it anyway. A few minutes later I observed an adult male. They were just beyond the small ponds if looking towards Sandusky Bay from the platform.

I then discovered an adult male and a female Bobolink just off the entrance drive at Ottawa NWR. They were just east of the little pool in the drawn down impoundment.

Good Birding Y'all,

Brian Z.
