Subject: Butterfly field trip

19 people attended the slide show portion of the butterfly field trip presented by Dave Parshall. Dave had excellent slides and gave a great presentation on the butterflies of Ohio, past and present; their preferred habitat; host plants; and identification tips. We were greatly dismayed when about half way through the program we heard thunder outside followed shortly by raindrops hitting the roof. We could only pray it would cease by noon. Unfortunately, our prayers went unaswered and the butterfly walk portion at Oak Openings Park had to be canceled.
