Subject: surf scoter in fulton county

A male surf scoter was observed at the intersection of fulton county rd. H and state rt. 108 just northwest of the town of wauseon. The bird was observed between 12:45 and 3:45 still present when i left. The bird was swimming around in a flooded soybean field. The water couldnt have been more than 4 feet deep. I was very shocked seeing a ocean bird in the middle of a farm field! I took pics and when i get them developed i will post them on a friends site. joehildreth


p.s. when is the salamander field trip?? the schedule says sunday the 17 but the 17 isnt a sunday.
