Subject: Snowy Owl at Maumee Bay State Park

After several unsuccessful attempts to see the Snowy Owl reported near the rocky west side of the beach at Maumee Bay State Park, my uncle and I happened upon one beautiful Snowy Owl just before the beach parking lot last Friday. About half way to the small pond before the amphitheater across from the sledding hill, not 400 yards from the pair of Great Horned owls. We watched him for about 45 minutes and even got a couple of pictures before he circled around the parking lot and flew off over the lake. Good Luck to all!
