>I thought I would put in my two cents. I have been birding on and off for about 23 years. I have been with groups in Ohio and Texas. There has been good and bad in all. But I just took it with a grain of salt. But last March I had an experience with two TNA members. I believe it was Becky and her son. I was looking for the Harlequin Duck at the falls. They were more than cordial. They assisted me in locating the bird. They made sure I got a good view, since it was a lifer. They allowed me to look through their binoculars and scope. They also refered me to Eagle Optics to upgrade my binoculars. They by far exceeded any help I was expecting. I was just wondering where to find the Harlequin. They went out of their way to help someone they had never met before. It was greatly appreciated. So not everyone is rude or snobbish. But we ALL do have our days.
