GaTech is not quite "High Level" FCS. It's mid-low ACC. And ACC is probably the 4th best football conference at this point, if that. ACC went 2-11 in bowl games last year, with the only wins being Louisville by 1 over the 11th place team in the B1G, and Syracuse over a team in the PAC-2.

SEC>B1G>>XII>>>ACC/American at this point. Everything Ivy fans think they know about College Football is stuck in 1972.

Regardless how you view their conference standing they are still at the FBS level.

Georgia Tech is more than just an FBS team. They took Georgia to 8 overtimes last year in Athens, and a lot is expected of the team this fall. There are analysts who expect them to have a shot at the playoffs this season.
