Will Coach Cahill's press conference that Yale will stream to alumni and friends. I remember when Coach Reno was hired, the athletic department broadcasted that press conference. Has a date been set for this event? Also, any word on what asst. coaches will be retained and which ones will be moving on?

Thanks! GO BULLDOGS!

Just listened to it...interesting to learn that discussions began a month ago. He specifically called out AD Vicky Chun for "persistence" in landing him; maybe that will quiet some of the alums who seem to love hating on her.

Well, one thing we found out was the pursuit of Cahill has been going on for a month or more which was before Reno officially resigned. There never was a "National Search" and that's a good thing. Everyone knew who we wanted.

Reading between the lines of what he said, it wouldn't surprise me if Yale approached him a month ago hoping to be able to announce Reno's departure and his arrival at the same time, but they couldn't come to terms with him quickly enough (maybe he wasn't sure he wanted to leave Lehigh, where he'd been successful and just re-upped, or maybe Lehigh stretched to try to keep him and there was a bidding war). Perhaps we'll find out one day how it all went down.

This really wasn't a press conference since there were no questions and answers. Perhaps there were questions later, they hinted that there might be in another location. One thing I would like to know is how Cahill got out of his Lehigh contract. Did they let him go or did he have an out if the Yale job opened. Everyone had to know in December that there was a chance that Tony wouldn't return.

I knew he was tight with Tony Reno but I was happy to hear of the influence Carmen Cozza also had on him in stilling the history and traditions of Yale Football. It was very nice that Mrs. Reno was there to demonstrate the seamless tradition and the familial bonds of Yale Football. Yale Football is in good hands.

Gentlemen; a major question for me is whether Coach Cahill is going to keep the entire staff.

Smart move, Coach. When Andrew Aurich took over the Harvard head coaching position relatively late in the off season, he wisely kept the core of the Harvard staff and it paid dividends in the transition during his first two years.

Coach Murphy and Coach Reno both left programs in very good shape.

Kevin Cahill’s son Patrick is a QB, class of ‘28. Offer from university of New Haven. History may repeat itself. It’s worked out great so far.

Wow, what an exciting potential game in New Haven! Picture this, in the Bowl, New Haven comes in being coached by Carm Cozza's grandson and the Yale's Head Coach's son at QB!!

That sounds pretty exciting to me!

Hope a game between Yale and New Haven can be worked out in the near future! Always thought this game was a no brainer!

New Haven didn't move up to FCS until last season.
