Way to go Starchild!
Great article! The only problem I have with it is that it's far too logical. The "powers that be" will never buy it! Conservatives (and when it comes to sex, it seems most of the population falls into that category) are too uptight and afraid of sex (and of what God will do to them if they enjoy it too much).
But you hit the nail right on the head. If the two Columbine kids had been getting laid regularly, I doubt if they would have had so much pent up rage and hopelessness that they'd go on a shooting spree and then commit suicide.
I also wonder if some of these boys who go postal aren't closet homosexuals who feel so isolated and messed up in a largely homophobic society, and who can't deal with the pressure of feeling so "not OK" in the eyes of their parents, friends, teachers, churches, and society in general, that they can't see or think straight. Going postal might be the only way they can see to cope with their situation.
If sex, homosexuality included, were more welcomed by society and we got away from the judgmentalism and moralizing, I suspect many of the kids who now choose violence (both the tragic headline grabbing kind as well as the back page stuff like beatings, rape, vandalism, and other property and personal crimes) would be far better adjusted and less violent.
