Ok I agree with your statement that every citizen should fight this wrong and stop being owned by the state, but then who pays for the roads to be built that the public uses? Who pays me when my car is damaged? Who monitors safety and security if we do away with speed limits and traffic laws that help keep us all under an assumed safety net. I agree that peoples illusion of safety is great but stop signs and laws concerning which side of the road to drive on etc. do help keep people safe, which is why they are initially formed. And to utilize your taillight example, if someone has both break lights burnt out how am I to tell if the person plans to stop? I recently almost had an accident on my motorcycle b/c some idiot didn't have taillights and I almost crashed into them. Of course I couldn't find a cop to turn the guy in but still if a police officer had issued him a ticket for this then maybe he would have had them fixed. See I agree that cops shouldn't harrass people to much for things but they do provide some services, keeping idiots and maniacs from terrorizing the roadways, however it always works that they aren't around when I need them but always when I'm the speeding idiot. So how do we keep roads in good order, and people safe and eliminate unnecessary stops and tickets?
