Yardbird, I agree to a point with your statement. The ignorance and fear comes from religious brainwashing. Take a look at our current president Bush and John Ashcroft, Joe Liberman, they are trying to start another holy war with the muslims by rallying their judeo/christian majority against the middle east. This type of leadership in our government is a major concern and that's one of many reasons I chose the Libertarian party. Also if you think the "statutes" are not being tampered with, then your very misinformed. JohnE.
