That's a pretty bold accusation to make of me, "Because folks like you will always look for a way to rationalize their deaths!"

I do have concern for innocent life. If I didn't, I would simply accept war and not spend time on various avenues of debate and discussion, (such as this), therby proving my concern for US foriegn involvement. When murder occurs from Kandahar, to Baghdad, to Mogadhishu, to New York City, it just plain sucks. For some crazy reason, the attitude I interpreted in the article, "Why do they hate Us", seemed to imply those over 3000 deaths that occurred in NYC on 9/11/01 is of lesser importance and greater justified than those innocent lives lost in Afghanistan after the 9/11/01 WTC attacks. History regardless, the Taliban Government endorsed, funded, and helped to plan the attack on NYC, and in turn destroyed over 3000 non-military lives, and caused approximately $80 billion in economic damage! Why do they hate us?

Any issue in which stakes are as high as this, it's important to finger the innocents. Who is to be held accountable for their regime? I believe Mr Wrights implied in his article, "Why do they hate us?", that Americans are to be held responsible for the hatred directed at them, due to poor US foriegn policy. With that I agree. However, that in no way excuses the people, that reside under fascist regimes, free from blame for the destruction those regimes wreak upon the world. They too are responsible for their deaths. It appears to me, (from reading "Why they hate Us"), that Mr Wrights is quick to point the blame at capitalists and let the cave dwelling Islam radicals off the hook. The people living under a regime in Afghanistan are just as responsible for their deaths as we are for ours. I can accept that. Perhaps my choice is that of choosing the far lesser of two evils. I still demand a change to our foriegn policy, however, if our enemies bring it to our shores they better expect a retaliation. I don't care who, why, where, or when either, as Mr Wrights claims they should not, "Do you think the people that are being bombed with ordnance YOU helped pay for really care what the reasons are? If bombs were raining down on YOUR home killing YOUR family and friends, and rendering YOUR homeland useless, would YOU care what the reasons were?"

There is substantial proof for me to put my full support into the attack on Al-queda and other terrorist organizations. Those that wish to help the US in that effort will probably not be harmed by the US. Those that can, but, choose to do nothing to prevent the terrorists from attacking free market capitalists are my enemies. Sadly, that includes some poor bastards in huts who's entire existance on earth consists of being overthrown, over, and over again. Additionally, Im unsure how much of a connection Saddam has to the terrorist networks, therefor, I'm not for or against the further escalation of the possible loss of more American lives.

I've never voted for a Democrat, and I rarely if ever vote for Republicans. I'll probably never vote for the Green party, or the Communist party. I vote for issues not for parties.

When a person is so quick to point blame at the US and cannot see an issue but for a single side is when the red flags go up. This country is filled with enemies. Sometimes it is hard to maintain a political position with so many in our nation. The political spectrum is hard to keep in perspective, especially for those "use to be liberals", or "use to be conservatives". Unfortunately the hippies from the civil rights era, as important as they may have thought they were in those times, don't accurately reflect the current conditions in the US or world today. Often their flamboyount, left over anti-america sediments do not bare relevence and come out sounding, (even as they did then), quite juvenile but nonetheless suspicious to me. The world's economy is quite a bit more complex than the "we're wealthy so we must be guilty" rhetoric.

My belief and pride in the Libertarian philosophies really have no judgement on the war on Al Queda and other terrorist organizations. Mr. Wright, I respect your ability, and courage to write publicly in this manner and I respect your opinions, but I do not agree with "Why they hate us". As is evident by some of your writings and of others involved with the creation of platform, I fear the party is growing left wings.

Nonetheless, thanks for your writings and debate.
