I don't know how old you are or how much you know about history, but here goes.
Korea - occupied in the '50's
Vietnam - occupied in the '60's
Grenada - occupied in the '80's
US Bombings since WWII (just to name a few) - Laos, Cambodia, Bosina, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan (more than once), etc.
The US, specifically the CIA, trained bin Laden and his men (that would be the Taliban) to fight the Northern Alliance, funded by CIA drug money. Now, we are training the Northern Alliance to fight the Taliban. (Got to make sure OUR guys are in power you know;-)
The US supported the Shah of Iran and attempted to keep him in power even to the point of training his fighter pilots on American bases. I did basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in 1977 and trained side by side with Iranians. Before I was discharged 5 years later Iran had our hostages and our President was embroiled in the Iran-Contra scandal.
I could go on and on but I am not inclined to do YOUR homework for you. My suggestion is you start paying closer attention to what your government is doing. Many of the things I listed above are considered "common knowledge" and frankly, I am surprised I even had to list them at all.
Wake up America! Turn off Oprah, Springer, Big Brother, Survivor, American Idol, etc., and start paying attention to the world around you. I would think you'd be more concerned about what the government does with YOUR money and how they use it to kill innocent people all over the world.
