I sympathize with Rod on this one.

However it's curious that "rich guys" don't get the same rights as others. If they want to put restrictions on their own private property (covenants by the developer)then it is considered an imposition on freedom. I see it as freedom of action by the property owner.

How do we allow a "community of interests" to operate by setting down certain standards (for that community) and not violate the principle of freedom. If the community calls for a law against murder is this an imposition on freedom?

Where is the line drawn?

Shouldn't different communities of interest be allowed to proliferate? The more experiments we have going the more freedom we have for discovering new methods of dealing with problems, both individual and community.
