Liked a lot of the, uh, speech; but your history's a bit off: like many people misunderstand, Licoln wasn't against slavery (you might also still believe the Emancipation Proclamation freed the slaves -- but it didn't -- it only freed them in the "rebelling" states). He waged your so-called "greedy war of aggression on a separate and sovereign nation" to preserve The Union, and to ultimately defeat a "nation" (i.e. the Confederate States of America)that was run by a group of archaic, corrupt, slave-holding land holders/politicians (a.k.a. "snobs and big business people").
Much like the "war" against Iraq could turn out, many poor (literally) people (then Southerners, now American soldiers) died for a cause they were intentionally misinformed about, all for a group of rich, self-serving (and military-service avoiding) politicians and businessmen (then CSA politicians, now Bush and Cheney and all their buddies).
