JohnE-- Apparently, you missed my point. Again, you have revealed your *lack* of understanding of Christian teachings. Leviticus is NOT supposed to be applied to Christian behavior today as it was written as instructions to a particular group of people who were engaged in nation building at the time. Granted, even some Christians don't know that the Old Testament is meant to be used for understanding, background, and context, while the New Testament is the part that contains instructions for today's Christian operating in the Age of Grace. Even so, the whole of the Christian message promotes freedom. Indeed, radically so. The law-- meaning the Jewish code outlined in the Old Testament-- is dead in Christ, as He came to "fulfill the law." The problem is that religious dogma may promote completely different ideas from the central message and actual teachings of Christ. Unfortunately, believers and non-believers alike are misled by religious propaganda-- especially these days when religious values are used to promote political agendas.

As an aside-- what did Christ himself say about homosexuality? NOTHING.

Personally speaking, I've become so accustomed to boundless misunderstandings and misconceptions concerning the central message of Christ that I can declare myself truly free from emotional attachment regarding another's erroneous beliefs. In other words, I'm not inclined to become so upset that I would write, "Your an idiot." Even so, however, I think that I would spell it correctly. The contraction of "you" and "are" is spelled "you're" BTW.
