Subject: Sweet 16, Here We Come!

One of Xavier's problems in the past has been failing to put the nail in the coffin when a team is down. They certainly didn't fail to do so today, and their shooting continued to be red-hot in downing Clemson 77-62. Five players scored in double figures, led by Nicole Levandusky's 19 points. Most notably, Xavier shot 58.5% from the field, including a scorching 66.7% (12-for-18) behind the 3-point arc.

The only down side was 32 turnovers, although most of them were in the final minutes of the game as Clemson sliced a 31-point Xavier lead into 15. Clemson did a fairly decent job patrolling the middle, but X took advantage of virtually every open look they had from outside.

Who's all going down to Birmingham? I plan on going and to see if we can knock off the mother of all women's college BB programs, the fabled University of Tennessee.
