He watches Chance leave and sighs. Chance is agitated at everyone for just calling out one of our names and supposing we'll be there in an instant. But we have needs to too. He lays his head down and closes his eyes, but continues to speak. The Basiners' immortals have powers, and although we are about equal in their leaders' power, their power drains the energy and life forces out of us. They take. While our power, we give our own energy and health to you all, therefor we give. It can get agitating, but fortunately for me I can keep myself calm. He watches Chance in his mind and in thought shakes his head. Chance won't survive the winter without having a serious injury. His mind glances toward Kavik, and he knows she cannot see. He takes a deep breath and gently blows a few flakes of snow into Kavik's eyes. It only lasts a few seconds, but in the moments of darkness she is able to see the dim light of Nakai, Jacona, and Mercy growing stronger by the moment. And Chance's light is very faint with a brighter rim, as it bounces back and forth, being pulled and pushed by unseen forces. The bright rim represents his strong appearance, but the inside his exhausted soul. But in the blink of an eye the vision is lost amongst the frozen water of the winter snow. With a soft sigh, Nakai falls asleep.
