Subject: William Frawley On Turner Classic Movies Segment
In reply to: Joe 's message, "Re: What Was William Frawley Like ?" on 23:44:26 04/21/03 Mon

Hi!

Thanks for all the replies! I enjoyed reading your opinions.

This is new to me! Earlier I was watching the Turner Classic Movies Channel and in between the two movies I was watching ("A Touch Of Mink" and "Pillow Talk") was a segment about William Frawley. William Frawley wasn't in either of the movies, so I guess the segments are shown randomly.

I wasn't expecting to see William Frawley so I wasn't prepared to tape it. :(

The piece was about 5 minutes long and briefly gave a biography of his life and acting career. It mentioned that he was known for drinking hard and being as grouchy the characters he portrayed. It also said that he is missed in Hollywood and that he could be kind also.

"My Three Sons" was also mentioned and photos of Fred M. and William D. were shown.
