When I said survived, I didn't necessarily mean fourished. Lauren and Jay did have some serious problems stemming from their childhoods, which is precisely why I singled them out. What you say about Chapin is true, but she has long since turned her life around and has become a born-again Christian. Like Paul Petersen, she is interested in protecting child actors. AS for Jay North, last I heard he was still trying to overcome his childhood demons and the struggles he has faced since, but at least for the time being he seems to be leading a normal life.
