Tom Selleck as Rob? Is this a reunion movie you're referring to, what they would be like today, like "Return To Mayberry" in 1986? If so, Steve and Uncle Charly would be dead. In a remake, however, at the ages they were at the time the show ran, Tom Selleck would make a pretty good Steve. Steve Martin wouldn't be half bad, nor John Ritter, nor Stephen Collins of "Seventh Heaven". Jerry Stiller would make a great Uncle Charly. They wouldn't need big name actors for the boys.

As you said, Geoff, all this is hypothetical, so don't hold your breath. I've been hearing for years about a reunion movie of "The Big Valley", the 60's western, but evidently that's all been talk too.
