I really wish Megan wouldn't leave the pageant system. My daughter has been in the state pageant 3 years in a row. This year she moved up to miss. I believe this is an excellent program, and just because she didn't make the cut this year doesn't mean she should give up. It takes alot of work. My daughter hasn't had any coaching, and she made the top 5. She has come a long way on her own, but she has the goals to make it someday. You will not be the one making or breaking her. You never know what the judges are thinking. This year I was a little disappointed in the top 15 for Teen, but that is the way it goes, and you just have to hold your head up and try again. It's alot of fun for the girls. My daughter has many friends from attending the state competition. It has help her be a better person, helping others and in her public speaking. It really is a good experience for the girls. It all depends on what the girls do with it. If you are there just to win, then that is the wrong reason. My daughter knew Stacy Lee would probably win. She is a very beautiful person inside and out. But that didn't stop her from competing. She did her best and it showed. This board is a wonderful thing if people could be nice. Some people get out of hand and never appologize. At least you had the respect to appologize. Megan never give up. You were beautiful on stage. You need to always remember, different day, different judges, different outcome.

I agree with you, pageant mom, but your daughter still needs help withpublic speaking. stacey and stephanie were the only ones who could speak. (NT)all the others should be embarrased. a top five who can't answer a question!11:29:47 09/30/03 Tue
