Hi, I'm back, nice to see new faces.

The problem with the engine is that it is indeed a propulsion device, but one that carries its own risks due to fire, mechnical injury, complexity, etc., and promotes and perpetuates shitty sailing skills. It's doubtful in my mind that these risks are offset by eliminating in large part the "risks" of getting becalmed.
