Subject: Makin a spot o' money here and there

I'm very new at this. My plan is to live aboard my sailboat like many of you do I'm sure. My retirement from a certain very large auto maker was severely cut and so I will need to make a small amt. of money while cruising. I have cut hair before to work my way through college and was quite good at it I was told. Is this something I could make a few dollars at in the islands ?
This is the only thing holding me back. I could really use some solid advice on this one.
