I constructed a permanent boom gallows simply from galvanized pipe and oak shortly after building my Beuhler Emily. It was one of the best things I ever did for that boat, especially when sailing single-handed in the blustery winds of Southeast Alaska. I highly recommend it. I made sure my boom would clear the gallows when main was fully raised (obviously). Reefing became much easier as I simply dropped the boom into one of the three pockets when the wind piped up - hauled down on the main sheet to hold the boom securely - and proceeded to reef without having to deal with rambunctious main boom. There are many good designs out there, and I'm sure you will find it a good addition to your Triton. Additionally a strongly built gallows can serve as a good strong point for various lines, cockpit tarps, leaning station while pissing in the sea, etc., etc.....
