Hey, all. I post here because of geography as much as continuity. (I'm near Wood's Hole)
I'm giving up on the Balboa (I hadn't started really. All I've done is dropping the keel and putting tires on the trailer.) I intend to sell off parts. There's a marine consignment shop in Wickford, RI that I left some stuff with last year and made $50 from the bunch (I cut every suggested price about in half). I'll pr4obably drop off the bits there.
If anybody wants anything from the boat, feel free to get ahold of me. I'll probably scrap the keel (iron) as scrap metal because it's a pain in the ass to move around and it needs a total resurfacing.
I really gave up on this project when I took on the Vagabond. (I think that's ready to toss in now...as soon as I put a bit of time in on the trailer and find a tow vehicle.)
I suppose my next challenge will be a bigger cruiser type boat. I've been leaning to a multihull lately, but I stuill think a twin keel would be nice. I guess I need to spend some time (and drink a bit) on each.
Z
