Subject: Liveaboard Slip & Downwind Docking

Here's a crazy idea. Since you have a whole long dock to yourselfs', rig a long pole from the stem of Macha to the forward cleat on the dock. Loop a line from a stern cleat, around the same dock cleat, and back the furthest aft winch. As you take in the line, it should bring your stern closer to the forward dock cleat. This should make a triangle between Macha, the pole and the dock. This will put Macha at an angle to the wind. Set sail, let loose the the stern line from the winch and gather it up as it slips the dock cleat and hold on the that pole and bring it aboard. So, what do ya think? Give me your e-mail or e-mail me and I will send a sketch. My sketch here got messed up. Or we could meet at Quinns Lighthouse.
