The "golden age" of cruising is over, and those of you who want to take it on are going to need to be a lot more savvy than your parents, and a lot better sailors. I love the Pardey's books, but the turd I lay at their feet is the same I lay at most baby boomers feet--you profited by, and left nothing for your kids and future generations. The are STILL selling a message that is by and GONE--and STILL profiting by it. We need new voices for a new world. That new voice is going to be a lot more forceful and robust.
