Subject: crab claw sail

this summer while reserching skulling oars thru a sea of nonsense, I found some info on the subject by Jerome FitzGerald. Using his insight I have carved five oars and made several "oarlocks" and have now got the perfect skulling, warram style converted aqua cat that I use most evenings in place of jogging. tops out at 2.4 mph. (I live on a three mile lake in nj). Too the crab claw sail. It accured to me that instead of skulling up and down the lake I could row down and sail back. I need a sail that I can throw up fast and easy. I have extended the keels on the aqua cat to full lenth, and about 6 in deep, since I once had a small marconie rig on it. Simplest is a square rig to run home, or maybe a crab claw or something that would let me reach a bit on the way back. all the crab claw pictures i have seen have a mast. would like to avoid a mast as there are some islands with 5 foot bridges i would like to go around. I have a couple of wind surfer masts and some old sails i can cut up. anyone have any ideas??? thanks
George
