Subject: any simple sailing types in eastern NC?

I've recently discovered the Oar Club site and am hoping to hear from like-minded folk in the area around Washington, North Carolina. The sailing in this area is pretty wide open and protected, at least on the sounds and rivers, so you can get by with limited local knowledge. Very few anchoring restrictions and mild winters could make this region perfect for living on the hook. Of course you would probably want to leave during the heat of the summer/hurricane season. [grin]
