Welcome. I'm here in the San Francisco Bay; I love to windsurf too.

I'm biased, but I think windsurfing and dinghy sailing make one a better sailor. Rather than learning theory of sail trim and boat handling you really feel in your bones how the boats responds to your actions.

I've never windsurfed in the Gorge. Would love to try it. I sail at Rio Vista whenever I can. When we get an ebb current against a strong wind, we get a Gorge-like short steep chop and upwind escalator ride on the current. But damn, gotta come up there one time...
