Hi Tom, she does sound like an interesting person. I want to check out her dinghy sailing book. Seems along the lines of my sensibilities and probably has lots of good advice.

The coleman I was looking at was a multifuel which burned kerosene in addition to white gas and unleaded. I was intending to use kerosene. I wasnt completely satisfied though and after himming and hawing a bit more I found what might be a perfect little stove for me:

It's supposed to burn an incredible variety of fuels including gas, kerosene, diesel, biodiesel and even alcohol. they also say that it can burn that oil (i forget what it's called) that repels mosquitoes. It's a vegetable based oil so I was thinking it would be great if it could burn waste veg oil. They have some videos up on youtube demonstrating it functioning (though not on veg oil). It looks like a solid little stove. I guess I'll see and report back.

I'm guessing the brass stove would be best for the marine environment?
