I'm very much a pessimist regarding "peak" resources, that is, I think we are going to be running out of everything soon. For those who think differently, I like the quote I saw recently which goes like this ....

"The prevailing logic is simply this: If we are completely wrong about Peak Oil and the crumbling economy, we will have established a simpler life that we will enjoy more."
