I don't know a thing about aluminum, but I'm sure someone does. I think most of the issues will come to play depending on how much time you're going to be in a marina, as the water is awful hot in most of them. If you're not in a marina, I'd assume your problems will be much less. As well, since my boat has been sans prop shaft, I've really no experience with any of that electro stuff anyhow, which yet another great benefit.

6 4 is deep, but I wouldn't worry an awful lot. Unless you're going to go really shoal draft, like under a foot and a half, you're going to be committed to deep anchorages exclusively regardless. Thats a choice, and the price you pay for being able to sail to windward with ease.
