Although it's a grand idea & I would love it, it wouldn't be practical. In order for there to be a crowd, it would have to be in Cleveland, Dave's home base and I'm in Erie, PA. I don't even know anyone in Cleveland. Dave would have to be able to take a leave of absense from his day job for at least a couple of weeks in order to rehearse the material, there would have to be musicians willing to take the time to learn & rehearse the songs, promotion would need to be done, deposits on halls/gear/etc. and last but not least, it would have to be profitable. I'm sure at this stage of the game there would have to be some sort of profit at the end of the tunnel to get anyone interested. I'm betting that the 98 Odean show was the last we'll ever see of any type of a Berrie get together in any formation.
Now when Dave ever visits any of his relatives in Ohio and plans on staying awhile, you never know where he may show up! Which is why my last post invited him for beer & brats & jamming. I'm only a little over an hour away from Mentor and I think it would be a blast. I have an entire studio filled with all the performing gear needed and I know almost all of his material. Yeah, 3 or 4 more beers and I'll be thinking that it will really happen. I better stop while I'm coherent!
