been checking out the site. reading these posted notes. got the cd-r from a pal. its alright fer sure. one dude mentioned vocal similarities of Dave to that of Benjamin Orr of the Cars and ya know what- i thought that same thing 20 years ago. first time i heard DRIVE in detroit on WRIF. shit, i thought maybe the SECRET or Dave & wally bryson were into something since i had moved from Clevland in 1981. at that time the CARS would NEVER be expected to do a song like DRIVE, so who would have guessed. Benny Orr was always doing funky, exagerated vocal extrusions in any number of Cars tunes. not love songs. when i found out that it was NOT Dave i couldn't believe it.
but i gotta agree with the dude who mentioned the vocal similarities. HEY RICKY-O, take notice dude. wanna jump-start the CARS ??????????????? DAve's the MAN for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm curious to think what other's think of this obseravtion. out-raddo
