Wish Upon A Star's Herd

You walk out of a wall of trees and before you lies an endless stretch of crystal clear water. You are standing on the softest footing you have ever experienced in your life. You look around and see a herd of horses grazing on patches of grass or laying in the shade of the palm trees seeming to be very peaceful and content. A stallion canters up to you, and seeing as you are of no threat, he nickers to you and nudges you gently into his herd.

Willow and Tobias have just had a foal, and WUAS and Peppa are expecting one! Jaded and Black Wind please let me know if you are still here!! All the new mares who have joined, welcome to our herd! I don't have anyone to really talk to, and don't feel like part of your herd. Your foals talk to me and I have fun playing with them but...I want someone to talk to that's my age.

The mare looks around, and breaks into a sweat. She looked around and fell to her side. Her whole side was heaving and frothed over with sweat. "This is it" she thought -- To the Moon and Back, 11:29:28 03/01/01 Thu
For hours it seemed, she just lay there, scared to death. "What could be taking so long???" Soon, she got the sudden urge to push, and out came a dripping wet foal. He looked black, and she stood up and started licking her first baby.
He attempted to get to his feet, but failed, and fell flat on his stomach with legs sprawled out. With a little motivation from MB, he managed to successfully get his legs under him, and struggle to his mother for some comforting warm milk. The chilly and windy day gave him even more encouragement to get close to the heat of her body.
As Moon licked him more, it showed his true color. A beautiful dappled grey, and perfect conformation. "Come over here, honey, look at our new baby! He will make a great leader, and alpha colt."
She nuzzles them both, and once the colt finished drinking, they both layed down for a sweet nap. Through all the work that they both went through today, they deserved it.

I really feel like we don't need to worry to much *looks at his mares with a meaningful glance* because we are a quite large herd, with two stallions - Tobias and I - who can fight... plus strong, loyal mares *whinnies shrilly as he rears and whirls, landing and immediately galloping off. He laps effortlessly around his territory, his eyes scanning the surroundings for anything suspicious... his coat gleams and you can see his muscles bunching, stretching, and rippling with each long stride he takes... he suddenly stops, swishes his tail, and perks his ears. Does he hear something? No, it's just his imagination. He trots quietly back to his herd, drops his head, and munches contentedly on some grass*

Dreamer has asked me if we would be willing to merge herds with Krypton's Legacy. I told her I would discuss it with you all and get back to her... I had invited them to merge earlier, when it was only MB and I. I will leave the decision up to you all, since it doesn't really matter to me either way we go. *nuzzles them all* I'll always love you all, no matter what. The only thing I am concerned about is if I will still be alpha stallion and I want us to stay at the beaches... *looks at them with kind eyes* The reason they want to merge is because they have only one stallion, two mares, and three foals, and with all the little ones they want more protection. *whinnies softly* Speaking of foals, we have two little ones on the way! I'll wait for everyone's answer before I tell Dreamer the answer, and it is open for discussion. (OOC) I am really frustrated with this... the replies won't go under the message, yet it will at all of HV's voy boards... anyone?? I'll try to figure it out... also about Gem Twist's and Frolicking Raindrops' pictures - I found out that since they're both on GeoCities they won't ever show up here b/c GeoCities has a new policy that won't let other servers use their pictures. Meaning anytime the pictures are tried to put on any page that's not part of GeoCities.com the pictures won't show up... If you put your pics onto another page, I'll gladly put them up for you!

Sweet Dream has just announced in her territory that the wolves are coming *he stamps one hoove anxiously, his eyes full of fear and his ears perked listening for any sound of danger* With two little ones coming... I need you all to be on the lookout. *drops his head slowly, sighing* These will be hard times... we need to stick together. I will give my life if necessary to protect you. If anything bad happens, go to Dreamer or Whisper Moonlight I know they will take care of you... hopefully it won't come to that *takes a step back, trying to imagine what it would be like if his herd was broken up - he shudders not even wanting to picture things coming to that extreme... he looks with admiration at the mares, willing himself to be strong for them, he knows he will fight to his death if anyone - or anything - threatens the beautiful mares who have so devotedly loved him.* On a lighter side, wolves don't like water and usually will stay away from the beaches. But if they are hungry enough, they will come to this crowded area and look for small herds or lone horses. I don't want any of you going off by yourselves, do you understand?
