Subject: FWC meeting in Jacksonville!

What a long day, I left at Six PM and the softshell turtle fisherman were still at it! i have to side with these people, cutting them down to FIVE turtles a day with NO, I repeat NO study on them, unless you want to count the ONE SIDED TREE huggers study! But regardless, thess people Make a living and all of them understand what the FWC's job is and want a study done before making their lives worse!

The Quota Hunt permit will be another Big fight for next year, The Stakeholder group were there along with the People Like Myself who feel that The Non-transferable system will put Less hunters in the woods not more, the commisioners were all over the place with this and at one point had The the stakeholder group all Upset, the Numbers the FWC put out as far as permits going to One house was even questioned as what it really meant!

I asked the Commissioners to question WHY so many people put in More then one WMA stamp, Just hunting one or two weekends per season isn't going to cut it! They keep saying there's no other state with Transferable permits, i made the point that there's no other state with 80% of the Public hunting land tied to Quota permits, Period! Other states have their Elk, Moose, Bear tied to these permits but NOT the Whitetail and hogs!

Jim spoke up about some other people wanting the seventeen highest WMAs to go Special Op, he didn't want to see that either, Nor do I, special Ops let even less of the general public in, plus in my eyes, these WMAs are Nothing but Leases for the State to RUN! How ever this goes, hunters need to be a part of it, it will affect us all!

The issue i had last year during my Hog dog Hunt on Toso was taken care of for this year, not only on Toso but all Hog dog Hunts, hand guns are legal to use, No Rim fire guns though!
