..Don't know where you get your info but the fwc IS very much involved in burning on many mgt areas.they decide when and where and then get the permits from forestry. right now most permits are on hold due to the drought.

On a brighter note I killed a gobbler this morning on public land. Called in 2 together, looked like twins. Only weighed 14lb but had a 9 1/2 beard and 1 1/4 spurs, good sharp hooks. Definitely a limb hanger.
