Gladehunter,
I have to agree with you on the prescribed burns, there is not enough of it going on. But this has nothing to do with the FWC, they don't handle that it's up to the land owner and the Divison of Forestry. From want I understand they're having a hard time giving out the permits needed for burning. Not just because of the weather condition but also because of the health problem (from the smoke) caused to the general public. Also you're right as far as I'm concerned about the harvest reporting, there has got to be something done about that on alot of the WMA's. I really don't think antler restriction, harvest limits or number of days allowed for hunting should be changed without first having current data. And along with the data problem we need to have more law enforcement to insurer that any and all game laws are followed. The stiffer penalties would help out alot but that too is beyond the control of the FWC. They can ask Your Legislators for the increase but if it doesn't pass then we stay with the current fines.
Thanks for your opinions,
Casey
