 Lessa smiled, and raised her other hand to stroke down along Matinee's spine, the other hand sliding down to rub his chest and chin. She turned her attention to his handler and nodded, thinking. Well... I can't afford much right now... But... She paused, thinking carefully for amoment, weighing the bills she already had, and calculating how much she could spare for him.. .I can give you five hundred for him.. It was a pittance, but still, he was a sweet enough dog... and it would be interesting to see just how quickly he learned how to get along with other dogs.
