Delighted in teh quick, always eager responces the mare gave her, Tally let her heel touch very lightly against Icy's side, putting her calf against the mare's inside-side, a light flicker of the inside rein, asking to to come around a bit tighter still, narrowing the circle down. A frown mars her features breifly. NOt a smooth even walk, as was wished, more a prance, but Tally could live with that, for the time being. Before too long it would get to be annoying. Another, soft, firm, halfhalt is administered to both reins, her legs consistant, keeping Icy moving forward, always forward. Once the half halt was performed, Tally loosened the reins a notch, allowing Icy her head. Though if the mare took advantage, Tally would be quick to pull her in again. Yes, perhaps a lunging would have been teh prefferable first activity, but if Tally couldn't handle Icy when she was feeling fresh and nervous, then she had no business getting the mare.
