His nostrils flare, taking in the scent. He didn't seem to be too much of a threat, but the young one was still cautious. Planting one leg forward, he remains in place, but stretches out his neck. The velvet muzzle is pressed delicately to the outstretched hand, wuffling softly, then tossing his head back. His ears prick forward now, taking a timid step forward, and once again outstretching his neck to press his muzzle into the male's hand, then to wonder yet closer to bump his head lightly against the male's chest. But just as quickly as he had wondered over, he wonders back, standing where he had been left, thinking his handler might just return for him.
