Desire's Fire was no brood mare, not yet anyway, she was known to kick the crap out of a stallion unless she was hobbled and tied and pretty much completely disarmed--but it the show ring--she was marvelous. Fire whickered when she heard footsteps, and then whinnied again, growing excited. Someone was coming! The equine stomped impatiently, her thick, muscular frame trembling with excitement.
