“Now Jenny Diver, ho, ho, yeah, Sukey Tawdry…” Walter sang as he washed the dishes that Sabina and Reagan had used early this morning. He bounced with the song in his head. “Ooh, Miss Lotte Lenya and old Lucy Brown…. Oh, the line forms on the right, babe… Now that Macky's back in town.”

“Mack the Knife? Do you know that I had to use Siri to figure out what you have been singing for ten minutes?” Adam inquired as he walked into the kitchen with just one crutch. Walter turned and stared at the boy. “You are missing a peg, boy.”

“I’m perfectly fine,” Adam rolled his eyes as he sat down. “Don’t let my coming into the kitchen interrupt your off-tune singing and whatever you call that dancing thing you were doing.”

“I was there yesterday when the physical therapists said to you that you were to use both crutches until you weren’t limping entirely – and that they felt it would be at least another week,” Walter picked up the wooden spoon that was in the water and shook it at Adam.

“Ok… Ok… I’ll get it after I eat.”

“Oh,” Walter dropped the spoon into the clean water. “I guess you expect me to make you breakfast.”

“You are doing a good impersonation of Nikita right now,” Adam smiled brightly and Walter rolled his eyes. He opened up the oven and pulled the plate out. “You are lucky boy. I heard you up. I think you were just avoiding Sabina this morning.”

“Nope,” Adam shook his head as he looked at the plate that Walter reheated into the microwave. “Is that chocolate in the pancakes or blueberries?”

“As if Sabina would allow me to make blueberry pancakes,” Walter snorted. “You know what they are.”

“Do you think we can have French toast tomorrow? We haven’t been allowed to have it since Nikita got pregnant,” Adam inquired as Walter placed the plate in front of Adam and pulled out the syrup and a fork.

Walter sighed. Sabina had asked for the same. “I can make it. It won’t be like your father’s.”

“I wouldn’t expect that,” Adam spoke with his mouth full. Walter shook his head and then blinked his eyes. “So, if you weren’t hiding from Sabina… what were you doing upstairs when those were fresh and hot?”

Adam chewed as he smiled and then paused. “So… I was talking with Jason the other day… and he told me how you were known as a ladies’ man.”

Walter chuckled. “That was a long time ago. That’s not who I am now… I haven’t been that for a long time… not since I met Belinda.”

Adam ate as he thought about Walter’s statement. “That was a long time ago. So many it’s time for you to start dating again.”

“I don’t want too,” Walter firmly spoke and Adam shrugged his shoulders. “If you haven’t dated since Belinda, how do you know that you don’t want to date?”

Walter pulled a chair out and sat down across from Adam. “What have you done, Adam?”

“It was Jason’s idea,” Adam spoke and Walter leaned forward. “Adam.”

“Well, there is this site… meant for older… persons… for dating,” Adam spoke and Walter pushed away from the table. “No… no you didn’t….”

Adam shrugged his shoulders. “Jason helped out a lot… and you are one of the biggest hits, Walter. I mean, the ladies are all much older than I would like… but I think a lot of them are contenders and can help you get back out there.”

Walter jumped to his feet and walked to the counter and grabbed his phone, dialing instantly as he shook his head. “Tell me you didn’t help this damn fool of a teenager make an online dating profile for me!”

Walter groaned as he slapped his hand on the countertop. “You are supposed to be watching what he does when Michael and Nikita are out of town. Not helping him to create chaos in my personal life, Jason.”

Adam continued to eat as Walter reamed Jason out. Adam glanced up as Walter placed the phone down. “So you didn’t try to hack Nikita’s system… but you hacked into Jason’s to get a picture of me?”

“I was bored,” Adam shrugged his shoulders as he had finished his pancakes. He pulled out his tablet and placed it down for Walter. “But there are some really nice ladies, Walter. They really want to meet you.”

“They don’t want to meet me. You probably made me out to be nothing like myself. They didn’t know that a teenage boy was writing the profile,” Walter complained as he sat down and stared at the tablet.

“You should try it.”

“I don’t want to. I’m happy helping out my family… helping out my Sugar and the kids in the Adoptive Grandparent program… and being here for you and Sabina… and spending time with everyone else,” Walter shook his head and Adam looked at the table and then to Walter. “But I know that Nikita would love you to fall in love.”

“With an online profile? Do you have cold oatmeal for brains right now, Adam? They might not even be real.”

“Oh, they are real,” Adam smiled and Walter frowned even stronger. “No… you didn’t.”

“I didn’t want you to fall for someone who wasn’t real,” Adam admitted and Walter grabbed the tablet. “But yet they have no clue that I’m not real.”

“You are sitting right in front of me,” Adam stated as he reached for his crutch. “I’m going to go get that other crutch.”

Walter grumbled that Adam was now deciding to listen to him. He couldn’t believe Adam had done this and that Jason had a good idea what Adam was doing. He glanced at the tablet and couldn’t believe how many messages that there were. Walter stepped away from the table, determined not to look at them.

But maybe he should just at least see who…
