Aleshia had checked on the crew that was starting to pull up the anchor and move down the coastline this late morning. She needed some time to just walk the boat as she was sure that she had gained easily five pounds this morning with the breakfast spread that Clement had put out for the crew. She had told him that he didn’t need to cook for them and that his job was for Michael and Nikita, but clearly she was losing that battle.

Clement had claimed that he had made the large breakfast in case Michael and Nikita had fallen asleep early and woke up earlier than planned. She had told him the previous night that the couple had requested a late brunch and she had no doubt that they were going to be having a late night. But Clement was cooking early this morning and Aleshia had not heard a peep out of the happy couple.

She normally was never one to do so many rounds of the boat, but something about Michael and Nikita made her want to do things personally until she got a better sense of the couple. They weren’t making any demands onto her and her staff. While it was refreshing, it was perhaps the first time that this had ever happened. Usually the first night there were endless calls for extra towels or some sort of toiletry was forgotten and then needed. The only thing that would be needed sooner than later would be more food supplies with the way that Clement was cooking.

Something made Aleshia want to protect their privacy more than she normally worried about going above and beyond. Her company was known for the private bookings for honeymoons. This wasn’t an uncommon cruise to take on, but Aleshia was caring more about what she could do to protect the couple.

Although she also was happy that she was able to sneak the whipped cream into the bedroom as she was sure that it was an unexpected surprise.

She turned and walked down the stairs with a bucket and some cleaning supplies that she was sure that she was going to need when she got to the galley. She knew that honeymooning couples could get frisky and she didn’t doubt that. But they weren’t as difficult to deal with as some of the bachelor or bachelorette weekend cruises that she had to complete or the one time that she had a group of men that she had to actually return to port with because she couldn’t take their wild antics. Afterwards that boat had been pulled from rotation because the damage required such a major overhaul.

But Aleshia never expected to see what she saw when she walked into the galley.

It was a given that she would find whipped cream in all kinds of places – on the windows, the table, the floor and even the ceiling. It was a given that there would be some clothes along the floor, although with honeymooning couples there never were too many items of clothing. There was even two stools turned on their side and the pillows on the couch against the wall of windows were strewed around and the cushions were half off of the couch.

She didn’t expect to see Nikita Pomeroy in the kitchen with a roll of paper towels, scrubbing at the countertop.

“Nikita,” Aleshia spoke and she watched as Nikita turned bright red and dropped the towels. “Oh… Hi Captain… I can explain… and I’m going to clean it all up.”

“There is no need too,” Aleshia spoke as she showed the bucket and placed it on the floor. “You don’t need to clean up after this.”

“This… this isn’t normal wear and tear…” Nikita rasped as she shook her head as she tried to reach for the towels and she fumbled them. Aleshia got to them before they could be picked up. “Truly, Nikita… this is part of the service that is paid for. No matter what happened in here.”

Nikita blushed furiously this time and she rubbed her bare elbows as she wore a light green tank top and a pair of jean shorts. “I… I can’t… no… I should clean this.”

“Where is your husband?” Aleshia inquired as she feared that Michael Pomeroy was downstairs trying to clean up their suite.

“Oh… taking another shower…” Nikita spoke and turned around as she turned red again. “Ah… I just wanted to get… some clothes.”

“I would have taken them down to your suite while you were eating breakfast and we will clean up your suite,” Aleshia commented and Nikita turned almost white. “What?”

“I’ll personally be tidying up your suite while you have breakfast. Surely you are hungry because Chef Clement has been cooking,” Aleshia explained as she wasn’t about to tell this embarrassed morning that another staff member would be helping her in their suite. Aleshia had cleaned up many trashed rooms before and nothing surprised her when it came to cleaning up the living quarters. It was easy to tell that the Pomeroy’s had enjoyed themselves at least in the bathroom along with the galley last night. Or maybe the bathroom was early this morning.

“Oh… we don’t need to have a big breakfast… cereal would be fine,” Nikita shook her head and Aleshia laughed. “You do know that it is just a couple minutes before noon, right? It’s time for lunch, so I think you need something more than cereal.”

“Oh god… I’m so sorry if we missed breakfast…”

“You didn’t miss anything,” Aleshia touched Nikita’s trembling hands and squeezed them. “We will cook at any time for you and your husband. And I guess if you don’t want to have brunch, Chef Clement will just force the crew to eat more… which means I am going to continue to gain weight.”

Nikita took a deep breath and swallowed. “I’m sorry… I’m not used to being waited upon.”

“Well, for the rest of this trip, you need to get used to it,” Aleshia gently smiled as she took her hands away from Nikita’s. “Just enjoy your husband and let me worry about cleaning, cooking, and all other plans.”

Nikita nodded her head as she rounded the corner and couldn’t help herself but to pick up the clothing off of the floor. “Ah… where will… the food…”

Aleshia couldn’t subject Nikita to Chef Clement still. He was a flamboyant man who could eat this woman alive with her embarrassment right now. To send them to the private dining room would make it too easy for Clement to sneak his way in to see the couple. “I was thinking of setting it up on the deck you were on when you first arrived… the sun isn’t as hot as it was yesterday and you can watch the sea while we start to sail.”

Nikita nodded her head up and down. “That sounds good,” Nikita nodded her head once more. She paused and looked around. Aleshia glanced around and cleared her throat. “Are you looking for something?”

Nikita thought and then shook her head. “Ah…no… we didn’t have on… well… nothing.”

Aleshia watched as Nikita trotted way and then realized that Nikita had just realized that there was no underwear to find in the galley as they didn’t have it on last night when they came up.

Sometimes it was annoying to clean up after people but Aleshia started to chuckle and then hum while she started to put things back together in the galley. Michael and Nikita Pomeroy were very interesting.
