Daisy sat down with a cup of coffee and sighed as she looked at Nikita. “I’m so glad that we are getting this chance to talk… because I need to hire you…”

“Hire me?” Nikita sputtered as she shook her head slightly from side to side. “I’m so far behind on projects at it is…. I am working with Mick for the next three days at least to catch up all the projects that I got roped into for him.”

“I just need you to take some pictures of me and Jason… because we don’t have any,” Daisy explained and Nikita groaned as she rubbed her forehead. She was already caving into this and she shook her head from side to side. “You can’t hire me to do that.”

“Yes, I can,” Daisy declared and Nikita shook her head again. “You are family. I can’t take payment.”

“But Mick pays?” Daisy inquired and Nikita nodded her head. “Because it’s for his clients… and for his design company… not him and someone…”

“Reagan,” Daisy inserted and Nikita smiled and took a sip of her coffee before continuing. “Plus, Mick is notoriously difficult… but I can’t promise that I can get to this soon… I have a lot of things to do to get ready for the wedding… although Michael claims that he was taking care of everything.”

Daisy smiled brightly. “I can wait… I honestly can wait!”

Nikita smiled as Sabina walked into the kitchen. She looked at the duo and retrieved a snack from the refrigerator and left the room. Nikita held onto her cup and exhaled. “Maybe you and Jason want to wait for the weather to change….”

“Sabina still isn’t talking to you? Hasn’t it been well over a week?” Daisy asked gently as she couldn’t ignore what she had seen.

“It’s going on two weeks,” Nikita responded with a rasp in her throat. “She is almost trying to blackmail me into having a baby… something along the lines that she will start talking to me when I have a baby brother or sister for her.”

“Ouch,” Daisy winced as she shook her head. “Isn’t she listening to you at all?”

“Michael has tried… it hasn’t worked but he wanted to tell her that she had to stop this or he would stop talking to her, but I couldn’t do that… I know that it is hard on Michael to know what she is doing to me right now… but someone has to be able to talk to our daughter right now… so Michael can’t play into this.. behavior,” Nikita explained as she turned her cup around in her hand. She was about to continue to talk when the door opened and Reagan stood there. “Daisy… I parked on the street so you could get out… but it is starting to snow.”

“Well, there were flurries,” Daisy commented and Reagan shook her head. “There is almost an inch now.”

Daisy snorted as she stood up and looked out the window. “The forecasters said it was only going to flurry… and nothing was supposed to stay on the ground.”

“I just… want to pull in before too long… Mick canceled our plans tonight…” Reagan commented as she swiped at her hair. Nikita gently grinned as she knew that Reagan and Mick were still saying that they were only friends, but it was so clear that they were more than that now. “He canceled because of the weather?”

Reagan leaned against the door as she shook her head. “No…. he wasn’t feeling that well… he thinks it was a cold and he wanted to go to bed early.”

“That’s probably a good idea… I’m to meet him tomorrow at some of his clients for photography to be done for his studio,” Nikita stated as Daisy sighed and shook her head. “I should be going… Jason is so paranoid about me driving in inclimate weather.”

“I guess it’s nice to know that Michael walked to the lab today,” Nikita stood up and blinked. “I hope that I’m still going to be doing photography tomorrow… that is pretty steady.”

Nikita turned and looked at Reagan. “Do you want some tea before you check in on Sabina?”

“How did you know that I was planning on doing that?”

“Because you’ve been doing more around here since Eric Logan came home,” Nikita shrugged her shoulders slightly. “I haven’t thanked you for just doing that.”

“She loves you, Nikita,” Reagan rolled her shoulders back and tilted her head to the side. “I don’t know why she is still not talking to you.”

“It’s a phase,” Nikita announced as she tried to play it off for the moment. “Sabina will get over this sooner than later.”

“Might not be too soon… her friend Abby, her mother had the twins last night…” Reagan spoke as she rubbed her forehead. “I meant to call you… at lunch… it just slipped my mind…”

Nikita tilted her head and studied Reagan. “Are you ok, Reagan?”

“Yeah,” Reagan nodded her head up and down. “I just can’t… believe I didn’t remember to call you about that.”

“I didn’t need to know about it right away,” Nikita swung her head from side to side as she frowned slightly as Reagan was still rubbing her forehead. “A headache maybe?”

“Maybe,” Reagan admitted with a slight nod of her head, finally dropping her hand from her forehead.

“Any chance that you have what Mick has?” Nikita raised an eyebrow. Reagan didn’t even flinch. “No.”

Nikita wasn’t quite sure about that. “Why don’t I go check on Sabina? You can go take something for that headache.”

“But… Sabina isn’t…” Reagan started to protest and then stopped. Nikita nodded her head. “I know that my own daughter isn’t talking to me… I know that she told you that she still loves me… and I know that I have to wait for her to get out of this phase… but it doesn’t mean that I can’t stop in her room and let her know that I’m still trying to make things better… especially if you are sick.”

Reagan shook her head. “I have a headache… I’m not sick.”

“Let’s not chance it,” Nikita stood her ground and there was nothing that was going to change Nikita’s mind. Reagan nodded her head. “Sabina can call me… about her homework…”

“Go get something for that headache,” Nikita directed and Reagan lifted her hands in the air, a sign of surrender.

But it did nothing to ease Reagan’s worries about Nikita and Sabina right now.
