Jason pulled his fingers away from the keyboard as he was relieved that he could report back to this client that he had sufficient security. He needed to get this report done because he was falling behind on his work and his bank accounts were dropping to levels that he had not seen in some amount of time. Jason turned to another computer and opened up his email, glancing at the thousands of alerts that he had running on key things that he needed to monitor. Rarely did anything ever come up from these alerts.

It seemed to be the same thing until Jason scrolled towards the bottom. The alert was one that he had established without being asked to get involved, but he had believed in becoming proactive. Jason didn’t think he would get much of a head start, but now, he had information that he had not expected to see. But he also knew that it could just be a false-positive to his search, which was the most comment outcome to his alerts.

“Mick… could I have found where you are?” Jason asked out loud as he reached over and grabbed the bottle of Diet Mountain Dew that he had sat down with hours ago. He took a long gulp as he started to click on the links to the alert that had popped up the message.

It was related to a facial recognition spider that Jason had created. It searched the internet for a face that had an 85% or higher match to Mick Schtoppel’s face. It had never thrown an alert before so Jason was prepared to find that it was just someone that looked a lot like Mick.

The screen showed that it was a 95% match to Mick Schtoppel’s face and Jason leaned forward. He clicked on the link and he actually jerked back when he saw Mick Schtoppel in the flesh. It was a picture on Flickr and it had an account that Jason was going to have to track down. It wasn’t Mick’s personal account.

Jason took a moment to chuckle because Mick now had a bit of hair. It was odd and Jason wondered if it was his way of trying to hide. Jason picked up his phone and pressed the button to dial Walter.

But he got voicemail. Jason sighed and shook his head before leaving the message. “Walt… call me. Got a hit on something interesting… and I’m not talking about a new chick or anything.”

Jason shifted back to the keyboard and started to type again. He had to track down who this account belonged to. The pictures were none descriptive. There were pictures of kids, but none of them had a shirt on that could possibly identify where they were.

And what was Mick doing with kids!

Then Jason went back to the picture of Mick and read the caption. “The day of Mr. Rhoades going away party. We’ll miss him. He looked better bald.”

Jason leaned back and frowned. From that caption it was clear that wherever the picture was taken, Mick wasn’t there any longer. But did that mean that he just left a job or a position or did he leave the area too?

Jason picked up the phone and pressed the speed dial again, but not for Walter this time. He waited and waited as the phone rang and rang. He was almost ready for voicemail.

“Jason… I was sleeping,” Davenport complained and Jason grinned. “I may have found someone.”

“What?” Davenport inquired with a voice that showed that he was annoyed. “Jason… I’m tired… I’m going back to sleep.”

“I found a picture of Mick,” Jason declared firmly, knowing that Davenport would wake up.

There was a pause before the response was firm and sharp. “We said that we weren’t looking for Mick.”

“Said and do are two different things,” Jason pointed out as he did not feel guilty for not doing exactly what he said that he was doing. “I have to worry about a lot of security for us, Davenport… I know that Nikita said that things were safe… and I know that that Tom said things are safe… but still.”

“Lot’s of enemies,” Davenport replied with a gruff voice. Jason sighed. “I haven’t had anything on any of us… and out of nowhere… I get this alert on facial recognition… and it is Mick… but in the caption it identifies him as Mr. Rhoades… I’m trying to crack the account for a location now.”

“I don’t know Jason…” Davenport sighed. “I don’t think that Nikita is ready.”

“Just because we find Mick doesn’t mean we’ll find the baby, “ Jason pointed out. “And from the caption… Mick might not even be where the picture was taken… I’m going to track it down.”

“It’s your personal time,” Davenport retorted.

“Are you going to tell them?”

“Michael and Nikita? I think they have other things going on right now,” Davenport reported. “I won’t tell them.”

“I’m going to find him.”

“Be careful,” Davenport warned before he disconnected. Jason rolled his eyes and put the phone down. He needed more pop and probably a snack. Jason stood up to run to the kitchen, knowing that he had hours in front of the computer ahead of him.
