^agreed, it's just another hole in the wall pageant that is mostly rigged, and is full of newbies. Not the kind of pageant you are looking for if you want class or high end titles or prizes. We did one and our crown is already tarnished and brown -- North Carolina Pageant Discussion Board

Should also mention that while raising money for vjc is amazing .........they would be able to give much more if they didn't have all the crazy expenses and obligations. At the prelims you usually see two parents working the concession stand for vjc while the other parents are helping the paid directors for free.....something to think about.....
