Scene: A crowded auditorium, a small chimp wearing wearing a three piece suit and reading glasses walks up to a podium and speaks into a microphone.

Years ago, two young "go getting" Americans with a love of chow used to post regularly on another message board about the merits of different fast-food burgers. I would engage these fellows in conversations about various foods and the pros and cons of eating them. Innocent and fluffy chit-chat.

The two fellows decided to start up a message board. They had a vision to see a forum of communication to discuss the joys of food and they had guts to spare! For this would be no easy task..

They started out small...

small, but full of bruava!

On July 19, 2001 "Culinary Discussion With The Wendy Twin's" was born. Emblazoned on the main page was a cartoon of two hosts wearing spectacular superhero costumes, fists on hips standing tall, standing proud, ready for anything and everything...But something was missing..That extra element that would turn a great message board into a legendary one.

They had a regular poster a very "real fellow"..Who one day made a comment so extraordinary and impactful that then and there he was invited to be a mascot!! I could go on with excessive hyperbole about the heaven's opening and a lightning bolt striking the earth and leaving a monkey in it's wake..But you can all read that in my memoirs..

SFX: Crowd laughing

Slurp!!: One day I made a post about my love of "Hossin'"...

SFX: Crowd letting out an awe of admiration..then stand up and applaud..

Slurp!!: >Motions them to sit down<

SFX: Crowd sitting down

You could hear a pin drop all across North America.."Hossin'?" my Yankee pal's asked.."What is this Hossin'?"..So I told them..and that was the beginning of the age of hossin'!

SFX: Crowd loses it! HUGE standing ovation.

Slurp!!: stands and waits.. Looks at watch, gives Flexy a thumbs up.

SFX: Crowd settling

Slurp!!: *ahem*

Like leaves blowing off a driveway on a blustery fall day, the years flew by.. The board changed to "Culinary Discussion With The Wiisty Twins"..Then is became "The Von Fange Brothers"...Then there was the "Hardy Boy's" incident..I invited my pal and rival souphead to join us on the board and he came in lips flapping and quips a flying!!

SFX: Crowd light if any applause...

Slurp!!: >looks at souphead and shrugs shoulders as if to say "I tried"<..

Slurp!!: I just want to thank souphead for joining us..As you all know, you are only as strong as your compition and I guess that makes souphead and I a couple of weaklings!!!

SFX: Crowd laughs..

Slurp!!: Seriously, if it wasn't for soupy keeping me at the top of my game..This whole thing would be as fun as it has been..Thanks soupy!!

SFX: Crowd appluading

*ahem*

During that time I remained steadfast in my support and defense of this great ideal..This dream of a place to discuss food in all it's wonder. Through thick and think I have always been ready to serve and ready to defend..

So Flexy while you decide who you want to defend the gates..

think back..

think back to a little monkey who one day mentioned "hossin'" and helped get this ball rolling..
