Subject: Eddie Izzard as Dr. Who?

In the year 2005, the long running British sci-fi program, Doctor Who, is returning to TV. According to an article I read, one of the possible people to play The Doctor in his latest regeneration is none other than Eddie Izzard. I have been a Whovian for more than 20 years. While I love Eddie, I am having a little trouble imagining him in the role. It could be interesting.
